Nothing in this section is always in stock — every listing is a limited drop, from a $295 small bonsai to trees that run several thousand dollars, each finished in handmade Yixing ceramic. Yixing-pot bonsai will drop regularly; the Signature Series — trees from Milton's personal collection — might come only a few times a year.

Rare trees drop a few times a year. The list gets them first — often the list gets them, period. We only email when it matters.

Milton Chang learned bonsai from John Naka and Harry Hirao, the fathers of American bonsai. Every tree we sell has passed through the methods they taught him — practiced for sixty years on the Pescadero coast.
