Every Bonsai Heirloom pot is hand-thrown from Yixing purple clay. The series differ in one thing that matters day to day: where the water leaves the pot. Series 3 also introduces a glazed finish and a rectangular shape.

Series 1

One large, raised drainage hole plus four smaller holes set into the base — none on the sides. Unglazed. Oval · XS, S, M · from $40

Series 2

Two drainage holes set into the side of the pot — none in the base. Unglazed. Oval · S, M, L · from $50

Series 3

Four small raised holes in the base — none on the sides — and the first series with a glazed option. Three versions in, this is the most functionally advanced pot we’ve made: the raised geometry holds moisture at the roots longer than standard drilled-in drainage, so the tree gets maximum hydration without ever sitting in water.
