Korean Hornbeam, Small

Product Details

  • RARE — One of the more rare and hard-to-find bonsai trees. They grow relatively slowly compared to other bonsai, and they are not easy to propagate.
  • RAMIFICATION — Known for its dense ramification, producing fine twigs and tight branching with timed pruning — this is what creates the high-end, deciduous look, especially when leafless in the wintertime.
  • INTERESTING BARK — As it matures, the smooth gray bark develops a "fluted" or muscled appearance with vascular lines, giving even small trees the presence of a grand, ancient specimen.
  • SMALL LEAVES — Has naturally dainty leaves and a strong ability to reduce leaf size.
  • FALL FOLIAGE — It offers a spectacular autumn display, with leaves turning brilliant shades of orange, yellow, and red — often emerging in showy stripes.
  • In comparison to our larger Korean Hornbeams, these will look a little younger, come in smaller 10" wide pots, have slightly thinner trunks, and a little less ramification (branches/leaves).
  • Comes in a traditional clay pot from YiXing, featuring a patent-pending water-retaining design for easy care.
