Product Details
- A deciduous species native to eastern Asia, including China, India, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. Resistant to the Dutch elm disease and has become a substitution for the magnificent American elm.
- Known for its small, notched leaves and the mottled, aged look that its bark is able to develop over time.
- Adapts to a variety of different soils and tolerates both wet and dry sites. Generally tolerant of urban conditions. Thrives in various climates, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced hobbyists.
- Unlike ordinary Chinese elms, which turn yellow in the fall, most of our trees will have red fall foliage under the right growing conditions.
- The "Large" Elms come in a 14" wide pot. They will also have thicker trunks and more ramification (branches/leaves) than those in the 10" or 12" wide pots.
-
Comes in a traditional clay pot from YiXing, featuring a patent-pending water-retaining design for easy care.
